Nexus Multi Academy Trust wins prestigious SEND Provision Trust of the Year award
At Nexus Multi Academy Trust, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have been honoured with the title of SEND Provision Trust of the Year at the esteemed Multi Academy Trust Association (MATA) Awards. This is an achievement that fills us with immense pride and reflects our commitment to providing exceptional support to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Since our establishment in 2016, Nexus MAT has grown to encompass 17 schools across South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. We have placed a large focus on delivering highly specialised provisions for our SEND students, ensuring that they receive the tailored support they need to excel, both in education and in life beyond the classroom. This award is a true reflection of our collective dedication to that mission.
This incredible achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering commitment of our outstanding staff, the invaluable support from families, and, of course, the incredible young people at the heart of our Trust.
We could not be prouder of this accomplishment. It serves as a reminder of what we can achieve together and strengthens our resolve to continue providing the very best educational experiences for every young person in our care.
All five of our eggs hatched. Their names are Heather, Eco, Dee-Fa, Daffy and Mi-shell. They will be spending the weekend with one of our teachers and her family.
Heather hatched at 7:40 this morning. Welcome to Heatherwood, Heather!
Cracks have started to appear. Will we meet our new Heatherwood friends tomorrow?
Our duck eggs have arrived. We are egg-cited for them to hatch!
Well done to our pupils who represented Heatherwood at the Nexus Primary Olympics on 25 June 2024 at Abbey School. You were all sporting superstars.
