  • The Railway Children

    M & M Productions visited Heatherwood again this week to perform their latest show, The Railway Children.

    Everyone enjoyed the show. The theatre group will return to Heatherwood before Christmas to perform a traditional pantomime.

  • Post 16 Residential -April 2026

    Thirteen of our Post 16 pupils went on a 4 night residential stay to the Lake District at the end of April 2026. The group undertook lots of physical challenges and team-building activities.  Everyone acted with determination, maturity, and they all were a credit to Heatherwood. 

    Thank you to the staff who accompanied our students and made the experience possible.

  • Dodgeball Championship: Qualifiers April 2026

    Heatherwood became seriously competitive on 23rd April during the Dodgeball Championship. Pupils were seen dodging, ducking and diving from balls flying from every direction! 

    Everyone had lots of fun, but there has to be an ultimate winner.

    In the final will be The Arc verses the winner of the second semi final (either Purple Class or The Hive).  

    Who will be the ultimate victor?

  • Summer Term 1 - Welcome back!

    Welcome back! It was wonderful to see so many of you back at school last week. 

    We hope you all enjoyed your Easter break. 

    Important Dates: 

    • Monday, 4th May 2026 - Bank holiday (school closed)
    • 11th - 15th May 2026 - Post 16 Exams Week
    • 22nd May 2026 - School closes at 3pm for the May Half Term Holiday
    • 1st June 2026 - School re-opens for pupils at 8:45am

     

    Reminders:

    • Please regularly read your seesaw and text messages for updates (as dates can be subject to change). 
    • Please also remember to label your child's property (clothing, bag, drinks bottle etc), and to only send snacks to school which are nut-free. 
    • If there are any changes to your contact details (address, phone number etc), please remember to inform school as soon as possible.

  • Easter Bingo Night and Raffle

    Thank you to everyone who attended our latest bingo night at Heatherwood. 

    Thank you also to everyone who donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, or donated their time to make the event a success.

  • Duck Watch: Day 11

    We said "Goodbye" to Count Duckula and Shell-by on Thursday morning. Usually the ducklings which hatch would be returned to the Incredible Eggs Farm, but on this occasion our ducklings have been adopted by a member of staff from Heatherwood. We are sure the ducklings will enjoy their new home.

  • Duck Watch: Day 8

    Count Duckula and Shell-by returned to school and were visited by pupils who checked on their progress.  Unfortunately, three of the eggs have failed to hatch this year, but Count Duckula and Shell-by continue to thrive.
