This term we have been starting our topic of the Garden Centre, with a range of work with leaves, plants and growing things. It has been a fantastic opportunity to blend our work between the students in Red and Yellow Class that are in school with those that are joining us for the Remote Learning sessions at home. Here are some of the shots of work done at home that parents have shared on Seesaw. Some have even managed to make the snow into a sensory learning opportunity! It is fantastic to see what they are getting up to.
Yellow and Red Class have been getting ready for Christmas by making cards, calendars and lots of yummy treats. We have played in the snow, decorated the classroom and cant wait for Christmas day to come. On National Christmas jumper day we decorated a combined jumper with individual panels that we stuck together to make this huge jumper big enough for a giant! Merry Christmas and we will see you all in the New Year. Ho Ho Ho!
Bonfire night was a great opportunity for us to do some creative mark making. It linked to the picture that was entered for the November illustration on the school calendar. We chose colours, painted with tools or our fingers and then sprinkled glitter. We are proud of our work; take a look.
Amongst the different things that we have been doing in October is the extra music that we have started to bring back into our lessons. Here you can see some of the fun that we have had with a Sensory Story called Band Rehearsal.
Yellow class have been very busy since their return in September. We have had a great time in a range of activities including Intensive interaction, Healthy eating cookery lessons, and lots of switch work building on our understanding of cause and effect. We have also made the most of the last of the September sun getting outside as much as we can including some planting spring bulbs ready for next year!
