British Values
Heatherwood also encourages pupils to respect fundamental British values. To help students understand what these are, we have woven them into each theme of the curriculum offer and placed simple posters around school, written in pupil friendly language (words, pictures and symbols). Where appropriate, the importance of each value has been made clear to the pupils. The values are as follows:
- I believe in myself (being the best that I can be)
- I can choose the right thing to do
- I can help those around me
- I respect those who keep me safe
- I know people believe in different things (I accept the beliefs of others)
