The Role of the Child Support Workers:
At Heatherwood School there are a group of are CSWs, working around the Classrooms. Their role is to perform, with the aid of class, postural management programs, including standing, prescribed by the pupils designated physiotherapist and occupational therapist. They also support pupils in P.E. and other classed based activities. These CSWs also work within the community seeing other children within Doncaster schools.
