Eco Silver Award

Throughout the year the pupils and staff at Heatherwood School have been Eco Warriors.

We have been making sure taps, lights and whiteboards turned off when not in use, and thinking green all the time. Also this year as part of obtaining the Silver Award, we took part in the National Compost Week. We made compost bins for our classrooms and did some work on recycling food etc. Also we made some bug hotels which are situated in our Wildlife Garden. The Eco Committee made up of pupils and staff held meetings throughout the year to make decisions about what we would do. The committee came up with our fantastic Eco Code which is displayed in our main entrance. Well done everyone for helping us achieve our Silver Award.
